News - MBT 3270 Now up to 300°C
| MBT 3270 Now up to 300°C |
Thanks to a redesign the Danfoss temperature sensor MBT 3270 can now withstand higher temperatures, has faster reation times and more customisation options. Danfoss has recently launched an updated version of the MBT 3270 temperature sensor. The revamped model is less complex than its predecessor. It's easier to setup, has new plug options and can now cope with temperaturers up to 300°C.

The greatest challange Danfoss faced when re-developing the sensor for temperature applications like oil free air compressors and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, was finding a new filling material that can survive at 300°C, and still maintain excellent heat transfer capabilities. It also had to react fast, Tau ‹10 seconds in exhaust gas flowing a 6m/s. The final result was a sensor that could handle 300°C and beat the Tau ‹10 by 2 seconds. The new modular design means plugs, cables, process connections, protection tubes and sensor elements can be combined to suit your need.
