Danfoss Windpower

Fuel Valves - Danfoss leads way
Danfoss solenoid valves have been used in fuel blocking applications that helps combat vehicle theft for many years. The system disables the vehicle by stopping the flow of fuel. This is ideal for older vehicles without fuel injection systems, fuel block systems help combat vehicle theft via a satellite controlled tracking device. In these vehicle disabling systems, a solenoid valve between the fuel pump and the fuel filter is a key element. If the vehicle is stolen, the driver makes a call to the system manufacturer. They then send a signal via satellite to the vehicle, which cuts the electricity to the solenoid valve, stopping the fuel supply. And it’s the Danfoss EV220B solenoid valve that does the job.
The EV220B is a high performance, water-hammer damped solenoid valve that’s available in a broad range of body and sealing materials. It’s also insensitive to dirt and comes in a very compact design. Add to this its cost-efficient performance and wide pressure range, and you get the perfect valve for vehicle fuel systems.
With a fuel block system installed, trucks can’t be driven. Also, the satellite tracking system helps pinpoint the exact location of the vehicle – good news for owners, bad news for vehicle thieves.

MBT 3270 Now up to 300°C
Thanks to a redesign the Danfoss temperature sensor MBT 3270 can now withstand higher temperatures, has faster reation times and more customisation options.
Danfoss has recently launched an updated version of the MBT 3270 temperature sensor. The revamped model is less complex than its predecessor. It's easier to setup, has new plug options and can now cope with temperaturers up to 300°C.
The greatest challange Danfoss faced when re-developing the sensor for temperature applications like oil free air compressors and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, was finding a new filling material that can survive at 300°C, and still maintain excellent heat transfer capabilities. It also had to react fast, Tau ‹10 seconds in exhaust gas flowing a 6m/s.
The final result was a sensor that could handle 300°C and beat the Tau ‹10 by 2 seconds. The new modular design means plugs, cables, process connections, protection tubes and sensor elements can be combined to suit your need.

Danfoss Pressure transmitters now with true switch capability
When Danfoss introduced the MBS1300 and 1350, a series of pressure transmitters with a dual output, instead of just one analogue output signal. The mobile hydraulic market showed a strong interest, and based on feedback from key customers, an open collector switch output with a direct connection to ground and a maximum load of 150 mA was developed and has now been introduced.
